More Than Sustainable Accommodation …
We care deeply about the environment, which was a driving motivation for creating this off-grid, recycled and minimal waste bus accommodation. We also understand how precious our island home is and want to protect Tasmania’s wild places, both now and for future generations. However, like many people, we’ve found that choosing really meaningful ways to make a difference isn’t always simple.
So, we’re donating 5% off all direct bookings to Tasmanian not-for-profit environmental projects. Book direct, stay at Huntingdon Tier Forest Retreat and after your stay we’ll contact you to choose your preferred project.
* Valid for bookings between 16th November and 30th June 2026. 5% for Tassie is not applicable to bookings made through external booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO.

Can I choose which not-for-profit my 5% goes to?
Yes! After your stay we’ll contact you to confirm which organisation you’d like to support from the list that we’re currently working with.
What Tasmanian environmental projects are you currently supporting?
At the moment, we’re donating to;
The Bob Brown Foundation is a Tasmanian environmental organisation that protects wilderness, wildlife, and marine ecosystems through activism, legal action, and community engagement. Their work focuses on ancient forests, endangered species and campaigns against industrial environmental damage.
Landcare Tasmania is a non-profit that supports community Landcare groups across Tasmania, helping them restore landscapes, improve soil and water health, protect biodiversity. They also run educational and volunteer programs, while providing funding, training and advocacy.
The Tasmanian Land Conservancy protects Tasmania’s natural habitats by buying land, establishing conservation reserves and working with private landowners through covenants and stewardship programs. Their goal is to ensure long-term conservation of wildlife and ecosystems.
